Writing Pipeline

As Lead Writer on Thermocline, I wrote the complete script and structured the game’s narrative flow, including player choices. Because the dialogue UI is intentionally compact, the writing was designed to read cleanly in tight message windows, prioritizing clarity over long-form prose. I also integrated the script directly into the game, implementing scenes as in-engine events and handling presentation details like portraits and sound cues so the intended timing and tone survive the jump from document to gameplay.

This scene shows Eve and Richard coordinating over local comms during the radio tower repair. The player alternates between checking status updates to report back and executing repair steps from Richard to progress the sequence.

After the tower repair, the story transitions into a dialogue-only cutscene with choice prompts. Eve finds a lost ID connected to someone important to Richard, prompting a brief heart-to-heart before the plan moves forward.
